Fluorine-Functional Polyurethane/Polyacrylate Hybrid Dispersions Based Coatings

摘要

Whilst the introduction of fluoroalkyl-functionality into dispersion polymers can be highly advantageous in enhancing properties such as oil&water resistance and soil resistance,the high cost of organo-fluoro compounds is a significant deterrent to their use.In this patent a process for achieving these desired properties using a poly(urethane-acrylate)hybrid polymer dispersion,containing minimum levels of fluorine-functionality is described.
