AIMING FOR THE MAX FROM A MINI PACKAGE: Yanmar's new MINIMAX series diesels designed to provide high power density in cost-conscious applications

Manufacturers of small engine-powered equipment are always looking to get more out of less. More power and torque out of a smaller package and certainly at an evermore-competitive cost. To meet those demands, Yanmar has developed a new line of three-cylinder diesel engines targeting a range of compact applications such as generator sets, light towers, agricultural machinery, utility vehicles and lawn and garden equipment. The new MINIMAX diesels span an overall range of 16 to 23.6 hp and comply with EPA Tier 4 off-road engine emissions standards, the company said.
