UPGRADED MOTOR GRADERS: Champion Motor Graders upgrades line with Cummins Tier 3 engines

Champion Motor Graders, Charlotte, N.C., has installed Cummins Tier 3 engines throughout its C series motor grader line. The seven-model motor grader family for road maintenance and paving is a compact line ranging from 110 to 120 hp with 12,000 to 24,000 lb. operating weights. "Making the new Cummins QSB Tier 3 engines standard on all of our motor graders from smallest to largest is a major step for Champion as we move forward in meeting the EPA's emissions requirements," said Bryan Abernathy, executive vice president at Champion Motor Graders. "It will also help us prepare for future Tier 4 requirements. Our customers get to keep all the power they have become accustomed to in our compact graders, while at the same time enjoying increased engine life and lower noise."
