Generac Power Systems, Waukesha, Wis., has introduced a new line of portable generator sets. The new XG Series encompasses six models ranging from 4 to 8 kW and is designed for backup power for a home or on a job site. "It is aimed at higher-end retail customers - customers who are looking for a few more features than the basic generators," said Carolyn Johnson, product manager at Generac. "And, also for the value-minded contractor - the contractor who may shop at a home center instead of going to an industrial supplier or dealer."
