LOOKING TO MAKE THE U.S. A COOLER PLACE: German thermal insulation specialist Thermamax enters U.S. market; systems for mobile, stationary applications

Thermamax, the German company specializing in insulation for high-temperature engine applications, recently announced its entry into the United States market. To highlight that move, the company is making its first appearance at the PowerGen International show in Orlando, Fla. The Mannheim-based company, which focuses on insulation technologies for automotive, commercial vehicle, marine propulsion and power generation applications, recently opened a centrally located office in Chicago, III., to enhance its service to U.S. engine and equipment manufacturers. For 30 years, the company has worked to establish itself in the European marketplace with advanced technological concepts designed to enhance the insulation specifications and improve engine fuel consumption and performance for nearly all engine manufacturers in that market. The list of Thermamax development partners and customers includes such well-known names as MAN B&W and Caterpillar.
