THINKING BIG IN SMALL MACHINES - Case's first compact track loaders incorporate dozer and excavator track design; new skid-steer loaders also unveiled

Building off the track technology of its dozer and excavator equipment, Case Construction Equipment has launched its first compact tracked loaders. The company recently unveiled the 445CT, a vertical lift model with 3500 Ib. lift capacity and the 450CT, a radial arm machine with 3857 Ib. capacity. The launch also included a complete series introduction of Case's 400 skid-steer loaders, featuring eight models in both vertical and radial lift configurations ranging from 1500 to 3000 Ib. load capacities. "Big-machine thinking is built into this new line of compact track loaders," said Rusty Schaefer, marketing manager for the Racine, Wis., company. "The undercarriages are similar to those found on the midsized and larger dozer and excavators in the Case product line." The track loaders also use similar componentry as the 400 skid-steer loaders, as well as the same undercarriage design, Schaefer added.
