Waukesha upgrades ESM - System now standard on Series Four engines, rich-burn air/fuel ratio control added

Systems integration has been abuzz in the engine industry for the past several years. Engine distributors, dealers and packagers have come to expect a certain level of controls integration from the engine OEMs when their iron leaves the factory floor. When Waukesha Engine, a business unit of Dresser Inc., introduced its Engine System Manager (ESM) in early 2002, the company took a big step forward in offering a new "On-Engine Technician." The company has now introduced an all-new air/fuel ratio control to the system, as well as several other enhancements.
