Mobile hydraulics company Sauer-Danfoss is a prime example of setting up and growing a successful business in China. The company is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its establishment of a factory in Shanghai as part of a joint venture with Shanghai Hydraulic Pneumatic Co. to make pumps and motors for construction and roadbuilding equipment manufacturers. Called Sauer-Danfoss-Daikin Mobile Hydraulics (Shanghai) Co., some 70% of the output from the 10 000 m2 factory in Shanghai is for the domestic market with the remainder going to the United States, Europe and other Asia Pacific regions - notably Singapore, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand.
