British engineering company Concentric has developed an innovative oil pump which it said could transform truck and car energy efficiency. The company, based in Birmingham, England, and with manufacturing sites in the U.S.A. and India, has developed a variable flow oil pump (VFP) for diesel engines which according to the company, uses considerably less power than conventional fixed-flow pumps, offering instant fuel savings and the prospect of a more energy-efficient oil system.
