BIG VENTURE: Cummins joint-venture plant in Beijing quickly becoming company's largest

When the first crates of ISG and QSG diesel engines left their new factory this past summer, Cummins' joint venture operation could say its products were powering the widest range of applications compared to any of Cummins' other plants - from light-duty pickups to forklift trucks to heavy-duty, over-the-road trucks. Combined, the two factories operated by Beijing Foton Cummins Engine Co. (BFCEC) in Beijing, China, are already Cummins' biggest in terms of footprint, and they are quickly becoming the company's largest in terms of engine production numbers.
