More Coups Around The Globe: Ansaldo Energia obtains Egypt, Chile, Turkey power plant contracts

Ansaldo Energia has announced an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with the Cairo Electricity Production Co., part of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Co., for an open-cycle turnkey 600 MW power plant near the 6th October power plant in the suburbs of Cairo, Egypt. The new plant will be situated near the existing one built by Ansaldo in 2012 and will consist of four units equipped with four Ansaldo AE94.2 gas turbines plus the relevant genevators and auxiliary systems. Work on the new thermoelectric power station is expected to be finished in just 14 months, according to Ansaldo.
