In 1986, Luis San Gil Lapuerta started a one-man enterprise with the bold aim of becoming one of the top five generator set manufacturers in Spain. Twenty-three years later, Gesan has achieved that goal and is a shining light in a region reeling from the economic downturn. While it's now more than a one-man shop, the company is still family owned, and San Gil explained that his strategy has remained focused on capital investment - that is, all revenues are reinvested into the company.
