POCLAIN HYDRAULICS HITS THE ROAD WITH NEW DRIVE SYSTEM

In an interesting move, Poclain Hydraulics decided to use the largest off-highway show in the world as the stage on which to present its solution for on-road vehicle applications. At Bauma 2007, Poclain unveiled its AddiDrive system for road vehicles requiring extreme versatility of movement at low speeds. "With our AddiDrive Creepdrive, trucks have two types of independent transmission - mechanical or hydrostatic - by the simple activation of a switch," explained Eric Blondeau, communication and technical information manager at Poclain Hydraulics. "The system is ideal for vehicles that need to reach fast speed when traveling on-road and the mechanical transmission is then engaged, but also work at low and constant speed, and that's when the hydraulic transmission is needed."
