Maxim Silencers Inc. was formed in December 2003 to purchase the Maxim Silencer product line from Beaird Industries Inc. The Maxim line offers a complete range of noise control, waste heat recovery and emission control equipment. Out on its own, Maxim's priority is to strengthen the brand created more than 100 years ago by Hiram Percy Maxim - whose invention credits include the gun silencer, which subsequently was adapted for automotive and industrial applications.
