Shenyang Jiuxing Group invests heavily in expanding Cu semis capacity

Construction of a comprehensive copper semis project with capacity of 300,000tpy is underway at Shenyang Jiuxing Group's Shenyang Xinghe Nonferrous Metals Fabricating Plant. The total investment of the project is estimated to be 1.0 billion yuan(USD124 million). The project includes construction of production lines of melting & casting, copper wirerod, wire, bar, water plumbing, sheet & strip, and cable strip. The construction began in August this year and the Stage one project of building production lines of 10,000tpy copper strip used in electric cable, 120,000tpy oxygen-free copper wirerod and 20,000tpy copper bar is expected to be finished in November this year, two months ahead of the group's schedule.
