A new flotation process on bauxite bearing high iron has been explored by Chalco's research institute for several years and it has been recently appraised by relevant experts. The bauxite containing high-content iron are widely spread in Kenan and Shanxi province as well as Guangxi region. The reserve of the bauxite is large but it has not been exploited and used in large-scale due to the relatively high content of iron but low content of alumina.
