The USA's JL French, the biggest producer of die-castings in the world, has recently reached an agreement with Chongqing Yujiang Die-Casting Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Liangjiang Machinery Co., Ltd. to set up a joint venture in southwest China's Chongqing municipality. The joint venture will mainly produce aluminum alloy die-casting in auto and motorcycle. Most of the products will be exported while will be sold on domestic market. The JL. French owns 51 percent of the registered capital of the joint venture while the two Chinese firms hold the remaining 49 percent. Construction of the production line of the joint venture has recently started the joint venture is expected to begin production in the second half of 2006. The joint venture will occupy 15 hectares of land.
