JCCL to build Cu anode plant in Qingyuan city, Guangdong province Jiangxi Copper Co., Ltd announced on November 29 that it will join hands with Qingyuan Tongde Electric Appliance Co., Ltd and Changying Metal Co., Ltd to build a plant of recycling and processing copper scraps into copper anode in Qingyuan city of Guangdong province. The joint venture is called Jiangtong Changying (Qingyuan) Co., Ltd. The joint venture will be engaged in purchase and production of secondary copper as well as sales of copper anode. JCCL will be responsible for sales of the joint venture's copper anode. JCCL's copper expansion project is ongoing and its production of copper cathode will increase to 700,000 tpy in 2007. So, JCCL needs more copper anode in the future.
