Synthesis and crystallographic structure of boron derivativesof N-(2-hydroxy-naphthylmethyl)-L-proline

A highly diastereoselective synthesis (>98%)of novel chiral (3aS)-4-oxo-6-pheny1-2,3,3a,4,6,14-hexahy-dro-1H-naphtho [1,2-e]pyrrol o [1',2' :3,4] [1 ,3,2]ox azaborolo-[2,3-b][1,3,2]oxazaborinin-15-ium-6-uide (2a) and (3aS)-6-(naphthalen-2-y1)-4-oxo-2,3,3a,4,6,14-hexahydro-1H-naph-tho[1,2-e]pyrrolo[1',2`:3,4] [1,3,2]oxazaborolo[2,3-b] [1,3,2]oxazaborinin-15-ium-6-uide (2b) compounds is describedand details of the crystal structures are presented.
