Barr Takes Brownfield Approach to Streamline Approvals

Scottish construction firm Barr Construction reeendy unveiled plans to East Ayrshire Council (EAC) for permission to build a waste-to-energy conversion facility, Cumnock Chronicle reported. The $90 million project, called the Barr Killoch Energy Recovery Park, will be located on the site of a now defunct coal mining operation. Barr has provided waste treatment, recycling, and disposal services to Ayrshire for over 150 years.
