KBR's ammonia tech selected for Indiana fertilizer plant

KBR's ammonia process technology has been selected by Midwest Fertilizer Corporation for its new manufacturing plant in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. The 2,200 tonne per day ammonia capacity plant will utilize KBR's proprietary Purifier technology. KBR will book the undisclosed contract value during the fourth quarter of 2013. KBR has provided ammonia process technology for more than 60 years. KBR will provide the technology license, basic engineering and design package, and supply of proprietary equipment for the facility.
