Woodside files LNG export application with NEB for Grassy Point

British Columbia's Ministry of Natural Gas Development confirmed that Woodside Energy Holdings Pty Ltd has filed an LNG export application with Canada's NEB. In January, Woodside entered into a sole proponent agreement with the Government of British Columbia giving the former the exclusive right to pursue land purchases on 937.5 hectares of land and foreshore land. Part of the agreement was that the proposed Grassy Point LNG (export) terminal would have to file with the NEB within a year. The development of the project is still subject to necessary regulatory approvals and is awaiting a final investment decision.
