Consortium to build import terminal in Italy

A consortium of 12 companies is seeking to build an LG import terminal in northeastern Italy, according to a Reuters report. The terminal is to be built in the port of Monfalcone and will have an annual capacity of 800 million cubic meters of gas, or about 560,000 tonnes of LNG. It will cost ?110 million (US$150 million) to build the facility, which is expected to begin operation in 2018.
