Total calls for more gas for Gladstone

Speaking to The Australian, Yves-Louis Darricarrere, Total's head of upstream oil and gas, said that the Gladstone LNG (GLNG) project needs to buy more gas. The comments cast doubt on speculation that the project was close to a deal with the Arrow joint venture. As an alternative to buying more gas, however, GLNG was considering acquiring more Queensland exploration ground. Santos, Gladstone's operator, seemingly contradicted Darricarrere's statement, saying that the current gas supply was adequate.
