GAIL India seeks renegotiation of an LNG import deal it has with Australia's Gorgon project, Economic Times reported. GAIL is supplied the gas under a contract signed with Petronet LNG. Petronet signed a 2-year agreement to buy 1.4 million tonnes per annum of LNG from the terminal at a price equivalent to 14.5 percent of ruling oil prices, translating to a price of US$l4.5/MMBtu at US$100/barrel oil price.
