Crowley agrees to acquire Carib Energy

Crowley Maritme Corporation, a Florida-based integrated logistics company, is reported to have agreed to acquire Florida-based Carib Energy, which holds a 25-year LNG export license to free-trade agreement (FTA) countries from the U.S. Department of Energy. Carib Energy will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Crowley Petroleum Services, providing the company an immediate book of business for the supply, transportation, and distribution of LNG via 10,000-gallon (40 cubic meter) intermodal tanks.
