Petronet LNG has approved the construction of its third LNG terminal, to be located at Gangavaram in the state of Andhra Pradesh, the first terminal to be located on the east coast, Platts reported. Petronet LNG has completed preliminary work on the project and is set to announce a short-list of potential contractors for the project soon. The terminal will have a capacity of 5 million tonnes per annum. "To bring gas early into the market, the company has also started work on an FSRU (Floating Storage & Regasification Unit)," the company said in a statement.
