Shell lifts force majeure on NLNG exports

Shell has lifted a force majeure measure on LNG exports from Bonny Island, Nigeria after a month of the measure being in place, Upstream Online reported. Shell claimed force majeure on May 15 after supplies were halted to the terminal due to a reported pipeline leak. Subsequent investigation found the leak to be caused by sabotage. "Some 240,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day was deferred over the shut-in period. Shell has now repaired the line and resumed gas production," the company's Nigerian joint venture Shell Petroleum Development Company said in a statement.
