Excelerate completes Lavaca Bay Export FEED

Excelerate Energy has completed front-end engineering and design (FEED) work for the 4.4 million tonne per annum dockside liquefaction facility to be located in Lavaca Bay, Texas. The company reports that results from the FEED study uphold the market validity of the export project and provides more accurate cost estimates and engineering documentation for the project. The study determined that the facility will cost US$2.4 billion ($540/ tonne of LNG produced). Now that accurate costing data has been obtained, the company is able to finalize negotiations with potential offtakers.
