GAIL books export capacity at Cove Point

India's GAIL has signed a terminal service agreement with Dominion for 2.3 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of liquefaction capacity in the Cove Point LNG terminal project located in Lusby, Md. Construction work at the terminal is expected to start in 2014 for liquefaction facilities completion in 2017. GAIL has booked 2.3 MTPA capacity for 20 years. The terminal will have direct access to the Marcellus and Utica shale plays, two of the most prolific shale gas basins in North America.
