Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades has announced his government's formal policy decision to press ahead with the construction of an LNG liquefaction plant on the Island, Cyprus Mail reported. The commitment from the government will allow Noble En-ergy to begin producing gas from its offshore license and declare the commerciality of the project. If declared commercial, Noble will build subsea infrastructure to produce the gas and bring it ashore. Natural gas could be brought ashore for domestic consumption in late 2018 and exported in 2019.
