Petronas FLNG project to produce 3.6 mtpa

Petronas' proposed US$3.3 billion floating LNG export terminal, off Bmralu,. Sarawak, Malaysia will produce an additional 3.6 million tonnes of LNG per annum, as an extension of the existing terminal onshore, Borneo Post reported. The floating LNG project, known as Petronas LNG train 9, is targeted to make its final investment decision by the first quarter of 2013, with start-up targeted for the fourth quarter of 2015. At present, the Petronas LNG complex has a capacity of 24 million tonnes per annum.
