EU invests ?647 million in energy infrastructure

Member states of the EU agreed to allocate ?647 million (US$808 million) to construct key infrastructure projects, according to a recent statement. A total of 34 projects will be given grants as part of the EU program Connecting Europe Facility. The bulk of the grants were awarded to Eastern European projects.
