SENER awarded Zeebrugge jetty extension

Fluxys LNG has awarded a contract for the extension of the Zeebrugge LNG terminal in Belgium to Spain's Sener, an engineering and construction group. Sener will carry out the project as part of theTS LNG joint venture, which is comprised of Sener and Techint. The terminal is located in the Zeebrugge Port, 20 km from Brugge. The extension work will consist of adding a second jetty, enabling the facility to increase capacity and further develop into a hub for supplying LNG as fuel for ships and long-haul trucks. Once construction is completed in mid-2015, the terminal will have an additional LNG loading/unloading capacity of 14,000 m3/hour.
