The Obama administration has signaled its support for natural gas exports from the U.S., Financial Times reported. Obama said during a trip to Costa Rica that the U.S. was likely to be a net gas exporter by 2020. The Energy Department is studying applications for LNG terminals. One in Texas may be approved within months, according to the report. It would be the second approval granted for LNG sales to countries that do not have free-trade agreements with the U.S., such as Japan.
