Nexus Energy reports that further exploration of its Crux gas field offshore northwestern Australia may justify a floating LNG export project, Bloomberg reported. Crux is located in the Browse Basin. Nexus plans to drill a well at the Auriga prospect in 2014. The prospect may hold 1.4 tcf of gas resources, according to Nexus Energy CEO Lucio Delia Martina. Nexus is partnered with Shell and Osaka Gas in the development. "A successful outcome will provide substantial economic underpinning of the East Browse standalone FLNG case, which in Nexus' view is the case with the highest value potential," Martina told shareholders.
