HHI.STX secure LNG-vessel orders

Hyundai Heavy Industries has secured orders totaling US$1.1-billion for four l62,000-cu-bic-meter LNG carriers and one LNG floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU). The carriers, two for Norway's Golar LNG and two for an unnamed European company, are scheduled to be delivered between the second quarter of 2014 and the first half of 2015.The LNG carriers will feature dual-fuel diesel engine systems, allowing vessels to run on either oil-based fuel or natural gas. The 170,000-cubic-meter FSRU will be delivered to Hoegh LNG by the second quarter of 2014.
