Third Gladstone Project to Proceed, APLNG Reaches FID

The Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) Board announced on July 28 approval for the development of its LNG facility on Curtis Island off Gladstone, in Queensland. Two other export plants are under construction: BG's Queensland Curtis LNG and Santos' Gladstone LNG. A fourth, Fisherman's Landing, has been on hold after preliminary site work, but is expected to recommence (see news brief 5 below).
