Lithuania Assures FSRU Operational by 2014

In a company newsletter, Lithuania-based Kiaipedos Nafta said it has selected Fluor to advise the development of the proposed LNG terminal project. "Klaipedos Nafta is responsible for [the] building and development of the terminal, and will make every effort to implement this project," the company general manager, Rokas Masiulis, said. Lithuania will open a tender in October to purchase a floating storage regasifica-tion unit (FSRU). Masiulis estimates the "project value is ?200-300 million [US$285-US$427.5 million]."
