Rapid-Fire Export Authorizations from DOE

Recently, the Department of Energy (DOE) issued four orders related to natural gas imports and exports: On Nov. 23, Consolidated Edison Company of New York filed an application with the Office of Fossil Energy for blanket authorization to import and export up to a combined total of 100 billion cubic feet of natural gas from and to Canada for a two-year term beginning on Jan. 1, 2011. The application was approved.
