Kitimat in Offtake Discussions with Asia-Pacific Buyers, Apache Expects Wheatstone LNG Final Investment in Second Half 2011

Apache announced on Feb. 17 during a Q4 earnings call that it is optimistic about the Kitimat and Wheatstone LNG projects. Last year, the company advanced its gas-monetization strategy by executing an offtake agreement for its Julimar field by Wheatstone LNG. The company also is becoming majority owners of the Kitimat LNG project in British Columbia.
