Whatever Fluxys' success with coastal and bunkering tankers will be, the company successfully has launched over-the-road LNG distributions services. In 2010, it opened a trailer loadout facility that can fill as many as 4,000 trailers annually. Overland transport fleets are now serving markets in Continental Europe and the U.K. via ferry with LNG from the Zeebrugge terminal. See photo in Figure 3. The cost to fill a trailer is ?512.20 (US$700), according to Renier, or approximately US$1.00/MMBtu, assuming 36 liquid cubic meters per trailer.
