Exploration project on bauxite resources in Chongqing Nanchuan completed

Exploration project conducted by local geology institute has come to an end and the exploration report has been examined and assessed by relevant expert group from Chalco and the Land & Resources Office of Chongqing Municipality, source close to the situation said. It is proven that there is 4 large bauxite deposits in the area of Chuantongwan-Huihe-Dafoyan, Nanchuan city of Chongqing. The average thickness of the deposits is 1.81 meters and the average alumina grade of the bauxite is 61.12 percent. The alumina reserves of the 4 deposits amounts to 75,44 million tonnes, which can be supplied to a 800,000tpy alumina refinery for at least 25 years.
