The Malignant catarrhal fever (MCF) is a fatal viral disease of ruminants. The report describes a case of the sheep-associated form of MCF in cattle. We show typical clinical signs, demonstrate the diagnostic findings and discuss the epidemiological aspects. The PCR was found as a useful tool to specify the viral agent of MCF in different materials.
