This article discusses the German Food Code. It is used in the practice of food law for many years. The Legal Committee of the Federation for Food Law and Food Science stresses in this context the basis for the formulation of the law and the limits of the activities of the German Food Code Commission. A detailed discussion of the guidelines is presented.
