Non-occupational allergic contact dermatitis from pyridoxine hydrochloride and ranitidine hydrochloride.

摘要

Contact sensitivity to drugs administered systemically is usually an occupational hazard. Ranitidine hydrochloride (HC1) has been considered to be the third most important contact allergen in health care workers, following propacetamol HC1 and penicillins.1 Ranitidine HC1 is an H2 receptor antagonist commonly used for the treatment of duodenal ulcers and gastric hypersecretory syndrome. There have been no reports of non-occupational allergic contact dermatitis from ranitidine HC1 to our knowledge. On the other hand, pyridoxine is one of the three components referred to as vitamin B6. Non-occupational allergic contact dermatitis from pyridoxine HC1 contained in cosmetics has been observed.
