Symposium on Cortisol Secretion Abnormalities honoring Dr. George P. Chrousos. Hormones et metabolisme

The articles that follow are the proceedings of a symposium that was held in Bethesda, Maryland, the first of a series that we called "Cortisol Secretion Abnormalities". It is our intention to hold these meetings/workshops every 2-3 years as a means to promote interdisciplinary interactions on research on glucocorticoid hormones, a vast field of science today. The meeting was sponsored by the National Institute of Child Health & Human Development (N1CHD), an Institute-component of the United States National Institutes of Health (NIH), where some of the most important research on glucocorticoid hormones has taken place over the last half century.
