The history of scientific discovery and first husbandry at zoos of New Guinea Singing dogs (Canis lupus f. hallstromi) are given. The first pair of dogs arrived at Tierpark Berlin in 1965. These animals were born at Institut fur Haustierkunde at Kiel, Germany. The breeding line at Tierpark based of 6 founders. From 1965 to 1980 89 dogs of "Papuan-line". between 1983-1999 41 animals of "Irian Jaya-line" were born. Husbandry and breeding of Singers at Tierpark Berlin were described. Facts about pregnancy (58-64 days), breeding saison (October and November 80%), number of pups (1-6), birth weight (165-240 g), growth of weight, eyes open (1116 days), sexual maturity (male 10, female 9 month), end of reproduction (males 12, females 10 years), mortality, coat colour and longevity (14 years 10 months 7 days) were added. Tierpark Berlin kept 1,1 Singers on 14.1.2005.
