摘要

The high cure rate with Mohs micrographic surgery (MMS) is largely attributable to visualization of the entire surgical margins. This article will describe three processing pearls for preparation of frozen sections that achieve complete margin visualization with fewer artifacts. These pearls include using a frozen glass slide when embedding the specimen to minimize artifacts, using an altered embedding mold to consistently achieve even sectioning of multiple blocks, and sectioning using a colored optimal cutting temperature (OCT) medium to more rapidly achieve an en face specimen.
