摘要

This paper summarizes the development of specific optical imaging techniques for detection and location of fugitive emissions of hydrocarbon and certain other types of gases. The technique has grown extensively over the last three years to the point where it is now a commonly used tool in larger industrial facilities, amongst contractors and in government environmental law enforcement organizations.
